A final paper is (ideally) a finished product. Your research has been completed, references have been listed and cited, and all of your work is turned into your professor for her/him to grade, comment on, and return. All of the work that you've done is documented in this final effort, but does it really tell the whole story of your research process?
Although creating a blog in addition to a final paper may seem like extra work, the hope is that creating and maintaining this blog will actually help you through the research process. It's a way to keep track of the sources you've consulted, solicit feedback from your professor and classmates, voice your research frustrations, and share your opinions about the books, articles, reports and websites you've read with your classmates and professor.
The research process is an iterative process, often taking you in directions you never expected to go. This blog will help you chart your research journey, and provide you with space to share it with others.
