Other Poli Sci Bloggers

I suspect (although I may be wrong) that when most people think about blogs they think of sites where people share gossip, recipes, photos, or personal stories. Although this is certainly true, a quick GoogleBlogs search will reveal that there are actually quite a few academics and researchers blogging about news, ideas, and publications related to their field of interest.

• University of Nebraska-Lincoln Political Science Graduate Student Blog
  You'll notice that the (somewhat) regular blog posts are all organized by category on the right-menu and that each of the pages on this blog link to even more resources and information.
• Rachel Strohm (personal blog)
  Created by an M.A. student in International Relations, this blog is a good example of a scholar using a blog to express ideas, comment on readings and current events, and share travel experiences and photos.
• The Monkey Cage
  This blog was first started in 2007 (!) by a group of political science researchers. In their first post they list their reasons for starting this blog (which I really like). Included in their list of motivating factors was the need to "think aloud," a good practice for any researcher interested in obtaining feedback.
